K Laser
At JW physiotherapy we have a range of electrotherapy equipment to aid recovery and pain relief including a K Laser. Laser is used when appropriate as part of physiotherapy treatment but you can be referred by your vet for stand alone K Laser treatment.
From October 2023 we will be holding regular K Laser clinics in local veterinary practices and at different venues around Bury, Greater Manchester, please contact for an up to date list and to book onto these clinics.
Laser stimulates the healing mechanisms via a process called photobiomodulation and is able to improve healing times, reduce pain, increase circulation, and decrease swelling. Laser has been used with both animals and humans for decades.
Laser can help treat:
Joint pain, including neck and back pain and pain pain due to osteoarthritis, hip and elbow dysplasia
Soft tissue problems such as tendinopathy, sprains
Oedma
chronic pain
Fractures and sprains
Dermatitis
post surgical wounds
burns, infection and chronic wounds
